Hemantha Ranaweera transitioned from a career in international wildlife photography to launch the Elephic Fund. Witnessing the devastating impacts of human-wildlife conflict and shrinking habitats first-hand, he realized capturing stories wasn't enough—action was required. Today, he coordinates on-the-ground corridor protection programs and leads community partnerships to build a future where humans and elephants thrive side by side.
